Bohinj to Kranjska Gora

Friday, 13th July 2012

Distance: 3 miles
Total Ascent: 300 feet
Total Descent: 300 feet
Weather: Wet, wet, wet

It was raining very heavily before we left Ribčev Laz and this continued for the journey to Kranjska Gora, only seeming to get worse as we reached our destination. After unpacking and having some lunch we made our way to check out the location of the shops before deciding to do a short walk despite the rain. The walk took us across the river to the opposite side of the valley until it was decided that there really was no point in going further and we took a short cut back to the hotel. With the rain eventually stopping late afternoon I ventured to the shops again - mainly to buy a map. After the evening briefing we went to a Slovenian evening held in a marquee and hosted by the hotel chain. There we enjoyed a BBQ, a band and dancing.
