Distance: 10 miles Time: -
Ascent: 2,000 feet Descent: 4,100 feet
Weather: Good weather
Comments:

Both groups travelled to the Cúber Reservoir by coach and 8 of us headed for the summits while the rest of the group followed an easier route. Passing the reservoir and making our way up the barranc we turned off onto a rough path to find the track to Sa Rateta, the first of 3 summits. The terrain was limestone clints and grikes but on a steep slope rather than the flat limestone pavement we find at home. From Sa Rateta we descended to the Col de Gats then climbed onto the intermediate summit, Franquera, before descending to Coll des Catds where we stopped for lunch. From here it was another climb to the last summit of the day, L’Ofre. After taking in the views it was time to make our way down a steep path to find an easy route to the Pilgrim’s route that we had ascended on Monday. As the cobbled path was dry it was easy to travel quickly to reach Biniaraix and a well-earned stop at the local tavern.
