Walk: How Stean Gorge, How Stean Beck, Low Riggs, High Riggs, How Stean Beck, Stean
Start Point: Lofthouse Grid Reference: SE 101 734
Distance: 6 mls Ascent: 780 feet
Time: 3 hours
Weather: Sunny and mild
Comments: Explored the cafe area to take photos of the gorge as we weren't going to descend into it. A pleasant path took us alongside the beck then onto the hillside and to High Riggs. We used a concessionary path to descend to How Stean Beck and crossed it via stepping stones. After reaching Stean we decided to return by road so that we coud call in the cafe again for coffee and cake.
