Walk: Whittle-le-Woods, Heapey, Anglezarke, Brinscall, Wheelton, Whittle-le-Woods
Start Point: Home
Distance: 14.2 miles Ascent: 1,000 feet
Time: 2 hours
Weather: Sunny and hot
Comments: Heading out towards Chorley I made my way through Heapey to reach Anglezarke Reservoir. From there I continued on towards White Coppice and Brinscall but the rough surface of the track slowed me down. A stop at Brinscall Lodge gave me the opportunity to photograph the ducks, geese and gulls which were providing quite a spectacle.

Heapey Watermans Cottage

Brinscall Lodge is the perfect spot for a break . . .

and there's lots of opportunities for photos of Canada geese . . .

a new family . . .

which ventures into the water

Time to stretch the wings!

There are lots of black headed gulls . . .

who keep flying over the geese . . .

and occasionally land in the water

Follow the leader

Lots of activity . . .

so it's pot luck trying to get photos
