Ride: Cuerden Valley, Old Tramway, Guild Wheel via: Avenham Park; Brockholes; Red Scar; Broughton; Cottam; Ribble Link; River Ribble; Avenham Park, Old Tramway, Curden Valley
Start Point: Home
Distance: 34 miles Ascent: 1,230 feet
Time: 6 hours
Weather: Sunny and hot
Comments: Having previously done small sections of the Guild Wheel, from Avenham Park, today I decided to complete the full circuit. This also involved riding to Avenham Park from home, approximately 6 miles each way.
Preston Guild Wheel was developed to celebrate the 2012 Guild Attractions. It is a 21 mile circular route, also known as Route 622. Some sections of the route travel through pretty countryside on good even surfaces while other parts travel trough industrialised areas and sometimes on rough loose surfaces.
