Walk: Pennine Way, Dodd Fell, Kidhow Gate, Cam High Road (Roman Road), Drumaldrace, Gayle
Start Point: Gayle Lane car park, Hawes Grid Ref: SD 870 897
Distance: 12.6 miles Ascent: 1,670 feet
Weather: Overcast with showers Time: 5.75 hours
Comments: Leaving Hawes for the Pennine Way we soon had to adjust clothing before the gradual climb to Dodd Fell. To reach the summit we left the Pennine Way and tackled the hummocky grass, stopping for elevenses on the way. Leaving the summit we made our way back to the Pennine Way to reach Kidhow Gate and walked along the road to Cam High Road (Track). We soon headed off path again to climb to the cairn on Drumaldrace, then more hummocky grass took us down to a good track and back into Hawes.

Our path skirts Yorburgh as we make our way back to . . .
