Comments: Latrigg
As we have visited this summit a number of times previously, but not taken photos, this walk was just to get the pictures we needed. Walking across to the summit we were surprised to see a large flock of sheep heading in one direction. As a farmer appeared they eventually turned to head in the opposite direction. All became clear when he stopped his quad bike and spread feed out on the ground. After taking the required photos we made our way across to the end of the limited mobility path to make our way back to the car. We decided that whilst it may be possible for some people to use this path it would be very difficult to push a wheelchair along it - and somewhat uncomfortable for the passenger.

Again, we have visited this summit previously and today's walk was just to get some photographs. After a quick visit to the church yard, where there used to be a well, we headed round to the back of the Youth Centre and up the grassy path. It wasn't long before the reached the rocky knoll but unfortunately the mist prevented us from enjoying the views. After our photographic session we returned to the church yard to take advantage of the benches for our morning coffee. However, with the onset of rain we were quickly on our way.

so that is what they were looking for!

From the summit we get a good view of Keswick, Derwent Water and the surrounding fells . . .

and to the west are Whinlatter Pass and fells . . .

whilst looking north to north-west we find Dodd, Carl Side and Skiddaw,

Typical of the day, the mist starts to close in across Lonscale Fell
