A promise of some sun as we get ready for walking at Bampton Bridge

Gathering the troops - is John about to give a talk?

Is there enough snow for a snowman?

All change - as the rain starts to come down

Before long it has brightened up - but we are all rather wet . . .

so the sun comes out to dry us off

Perhaps we should be walking over in the valley

Guess who reached the cairn first . . .

but we all manage to find a spot for our coffee break

Our first view of Haweswater . . .

with some spectacular views in the opposite direction

Time to head back down . . .

and cross the bridge - but who is venturing out first

Lots of water in the beck today . . .

gives lots of opportunities for taking pictures . . .

Another view of Haweswater from lower down . . .

and even more waterfalls . . .

and still more

The light catches the water as we head further down . . .

and yet another view of the dam . . .

and even more waterfalls . . .

we just couldn't resist . . .

taking more pictures

Time for a pause at the next bridge . . .

before another look back at Haweswater

Some very nice houses in Burnbanks - a little remote for me

Our lunch spot gives one last view of Haweswater . . .

followed by a last view of Kidsty Pike

And a treat as we pass through Rosgill . . .

did somebody mention pork chops?

Looks like he could be Big Daddy!

Almost back - as we approach Bampton . . .

and find we have one last ascent
